Austin’s Notes: This doesn’t come across very well in the script, but when Mr. Fahrenheit censures Ned and his ilk for “foulin’ up his alleyways,” he’s not speaking as a tough who prowls the alleys of Julips’ City. Our original conception was that Mr. Fahrenheit just owned a lot of alleys all over the country — he’s a very special kind of land baron — and just sort of flitted from one to the next as the whim took him. Lord only knows if we’re going to keep that part of his character around.
