Whether or not it’s all improved or turned out for the best, it’s nice to know I’ve not been static and that the work, while by no means perfect, is not the embarrassment I so feared it would be.  Thanks for reading, guys, but don’t take a breather just yet! Album 3 is on the way and is it a good’un! All your burning questions about Two-Legged Pete, Gauthier, the Rajas, Alex and Mason are about to be answered (and you’ll get some nice action pieces in there, too!)!
]]>I like panel four, flaws and all, if only because it’s got a sort of “Ren and Stimpy” feel to it all. Reginald’s leg movement in particular brings this association to mind.
Slipping into the self-critical for a second, but god, I used to be the worst dialogue writer ever, didn’t I?
]]>Austin’s Notes: It was at this point that Mr. Rainwater actually stopped the storyboarding and writing and asked me to finish up for him. Yup; everything until Page 20 is Mr. Rainwater’s interpretation of my bare-bone synopses. Everything afterwards is from a script I wrote. Matt had only gotten so far as Page 19 and had no clue how to end it, so when he came home that summer he turned to me for my dubious expertise and, well, the rest is history. Honestly? These are the first scripts I wrote that actually survived almost completely intact. You can start to see Mr. Rainwater and I meshing as a team, right before your eyes!
